Depending on reads, respecting a hijack raise can be a serious mistake.

Even when multitabling you should be aware when you are turning down a +EV situation. In many, if not most, cases, a call he is profitable, especially given the discount you are getting from the BB. Unless you really feel that your decision making is hindered or limited when you're multitabling, you shouldnt really change the way you play. It's easy to say, screw that A8o i have in the BB on this table cuz I just got AA on the button and there has been a ton of action on this other table.

Im not trying to come down on anyone, but I know I did this as well and it can put a dent in your winrate. I dropped a couple of tables when I noticed this and sure my hourly rate dropped a bit at first becasue of the amount of hands, but I became a better player.

Yeah I know. I really haven't gotten into blind stealing situations as I'm just now starting to play 2/4 all the time. I'm just saying I err on the side of caution with putting myself in these marginal situations, I'm sure some of them are -EV on their own, but it helps me to be able to play more hands without getting too burnt out. BTW do you have any idea what the range of hands that a TAG is going to be raising from Hijack, CO, Button on steal attempts?

I definitely agree with you, and I definitely don't take it too far. I've just moved up to 2/4 more full time so I'm not quite used to blind defense situations for example.

But on it's own I'm not really sure how -EV it is to fold A10o here. Or a hand like A8o to a hijack raise. That's really what I wanted to get at I guess, b/c depending on the range of hands people are raising from these spots you could be in a lot of trouble.
