No Hyundai for me. Original raiser had AA - ahh they can never lay that down can they? Donk had 89 for a straight, figured someone in there for that. But the one that got me - UTG had AK. Dude didn't even raise it preflop, then gets all frisky w/ a gutshot? I figured him for 66 or KQ. To make things even more painful, one of the other guys had QJ, so the turds hit one of their 3 Q's...

God I would have loved to fill this one up...

And regarding the river raise. Obviously no flushes. And I was not worried about JJ or QQ, since the latter half of the field slowed down. Damn the straights. I led hoping everyone went bonkers w/ a flush draw, but just called the raise.

I'd put UTG on A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and slow down. In fact, I probably just check-call the river.

You don't think UTG would have raised AKs preflop?

Ahh oops, thought it was UTG who limped capped. Ok well, I guess since he didn't raise at all, I'd put him on 98, maybe with the spades. And if MP limp-capper 3-bet or capped the turn, I'd be scared he has the AK.

I was expecting 89, TJ, QJ and a big PP, but my mouth dropped when I saw AK from UTG. Never saw it coming.

You have to get away from your preflop read when you have convincing evidence to the contrary - namely the turn action.

AK/K9/89/higher set are definitely likely on the turn.

Not really. People go bonkers in pots like this. I pretty much had everyone nailed except AK. Tricky donk is smart enough to cap a good multiway hand like 89s. Guy behind him would stay in w/ a draw (and 2 pair), but he wasn't driving action. Poor button, you could practically hear him crying over the net with each call. But AK? Ultra passive preflop and suddenly he turns into a maniac w/ a gutshot and overpair?

I'm not sure what you are saying. If the donk has 89s he beats you. Are you saying should I raise the river because dI probably have utg beat and donk is all-in?

If so, imo...no, don't raise the river. UTG can see just like you that the turn was capped. Yet he raises you again on the river. If he doesn't have a set of tens beat then he's a maniac.

I call the river and buy a used Hyundai with the pot.
