Way Ahead/Way Behind. Usually defined as you have ~3 outs if Villan is ahead and Villan has ~3 outs if you're ahead. Classic example, raise AQs in MP, get 3-bet by a TAG and see a flop of Axxr.

Hey rev if you were responding to my ques about three bettin flop i dont get your rely. only gonna get lower club draws to fold for two, i dont think A K c arent gonna take at least one stab although their call would in theory make them lose money.

the reason you don't raise this flop is because, the worse hands like JJ, TT QQ are gonna get scared and either fold right away or fold the turn UI, but the better hands will 3bet, or bet the turn/ c/r the turn...

so you get very little value out of the hands that you have crushed, and get taken for extra bets by the hands that have you beat

its a line that gets good value when ahead, limits the loss when behind

Is there any good reason to three bet the flop like he did here?

Oh, and I'm also in the midst of a run of the crappiest cards I've ever seen. For instance, I just had a hand folded to me on the button with ATo. I raise. Both blinds call. The flop came QQK. Long story short, the BB defended with K6o and wound up with kings full.

i raise on the button w/ AQ, BB calls. flop comes KQ9, i bet, he check raises, i call. Turn brings a Queen. He checks, i bet he raises i cap. River brings a 9. I now have Queens full of nines. We cap. He has KQ. There goes $40, and an $80 pot.
