"They need the guy from Cotter or Helmuth or something."

Why not both of them, they did the commentary for wsop 1997 together and I think it was very good. Very fun when Gabe said to Stu Ungar: "What do you know about poker?!"

Norman Chad is a major reason (thought not the only reason) that the WSOP is as highly rated as it is.

[/ QUOTE ]

And your evidence for this is...?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't agree necessarily, but if everyone found him as annoying as so many posters here do, it would clearly be rated lower.

[/ QUOTE ]

If the Super Bowl was broadcast only on the Disney Channel and the commentary was done by puppets, it would still get huge ratings.

now that is funny

IMO, it's LM that needs to go. I like NC, even the ex-wife jokes. I think Gabe Kaplan and NC would be a good team.

If they had two stations broadcasting the SB, the 'regular' station/crew vs. Kermit and the Swedish Chef, I'm watching the puppets. Or Homer and Cartman, that would work.

Kermit and the Swedish Chef? Whatever. Gonzo and Beaker, that's the team I'd pay top dollar for. Though Statler and Waldorf would be pretty good too.

I wonder how many people who read this even know who Waldorf and Statler are.

The Muppet Show was some quality TV back in the day

Hey, it's never too late. Season One finally came out on DVD last Tuesday.

(I never knew that the first skit on the first show (produced, not aired) was Mahna Mahna. The world just makes sense, now.)

Bingo, but they rarely (if ever) actually say their names. I only know them because as a youngster I had "The Muppet Show Book" (which was basically scripts and photos of the show).
