like you can't just get up and then sit with the minimum at one of the other 10 billion tables

Hey, if you are afraid to lose your money then you are going to leave the table when you are up, that's just the way it works.

I do think that, like UB, you should not be allowed to re-join a table that you left without putting the full amount you left with back (30 min time limit or so, since casino's do about 60 min limit).

I was at MGM in may and watched a guy work over the table like he could see everyones cards, in a 2/5 game. He went up to about 5k, and no one else on the table had more than 700.

So, he left for a 2-4 limit game and played for an hour before getting his name back on the 2-5 NL list, so he could sit back down with the min buy-in.

I'm sure the table was quite annoyed to see him sit back down and not bring their (former) money with him.

Sure there is; UB already does it. If you try to sit at a table you recently left (I'm not sure of the timeframe but its probably something like within a half hour), you must sit with the amount you had when you left.

i thought party did this too. did they stop this? i played nl like a year ago, so they might have changed this policy to let the fish play longer.

I don't think Party ever did it. Stars and UB do though.

Isnt havint the deepest stack at a nl game an advantage? If they are afraid to play with a good sized stack, arent they a weak player who you would like to sit back at your table? When I see people buy in for the min, I almost always see them buying in for the min over and over...

It's only an advantage if you're the best, or perhaps second best, player at the table.

There's no real way to regulate it though..

Prima has this rule even at limit games which is just stupid.
