Actually, I've found three schools in the NW. Perhaps the next time you're in a room, float the ? to a dealer. The cost of poker school runs about $1000 for eight weeks.

I dealt blackjack at The Skagit for a short period before my divorce (on sabbatical - which directly lead to the divorce). Full time employees typically get health bennies and 401(K) or profit sharing. Sometime though, you have to be a dual rate to qualify for FT.

One of the dealers at Diamond Lil's mentioned yesterday that he runs a dealer school of some kind- not sure if it is just a side project or if it is a big commercial thing.

Unless they changed, which they may have, the school used to be primarily dealing pit games, then they'd spend maybe a day on poker.

Hopefully that's changed.

If you can find a dealer, you don't have to pay and go to the school as long as you pass your state test for your liscense. That may have changed also.
