You have the capping rule nailed. Wish all the dealers and floorman knew it as well

If the casino's rule is "Unlimited raises are only allowed if the round started HU," then so be it. It's silly, but so is the $1 preflop rake. Bitches.

[/ QUOTE ]

The $1 preflop rake (combined with full rake on any flop) is a disgrace that costs the card clubs money by discouraging morning "retiree" games from taking hold or starting. And it's worse at some clubs that take a $1 jackpot drop before the flop. OTOH, you sure won't find any tight passive games at limits 4/8 and below unless the players are both tight and rake oblivious (which is nearly impossible to find when you think about it).

Anyway in past years I've belabored the above point "ad nauseum". It's out of my system for now

Unless you play at FW, where Mondays and Tuesdays the round
must be started by the two HU, Wednesdays nobody knows, Thursdays
and Fridays they flip a coin and on the weekends they just randomly
enforce it...this is by the way, how all rulings are handled there!

Is it true that no player has ever seen a written rule book at Foxwoods?

It\'s not really a west coast-east coast thing....

....because some of the Indian Casinos just outside LA County also use the inferior rule.
