Re: Joe Hachem hand from Main Event

[ QUOTE ] Hachem - AA SB - J10s [/ QUOTE ] Uh, that would mean that SB has the nuts, and therefore would have to have been a complete idiot for not reraising on the river. [/ QUOTE ] and the description of the SB prevents this? |
Re: Joe Hachem hand from Main Event
I would put SB on AQ, maybe AK. I can't see a nervous (= weak-tight?) player with anything smaller than a big 2-pair by the turn.
I would put Hachem on QQ or JT, even though I know KK is more logical. That long pause and raise on the turn feels like "holy $#!+, I hit my gin card" to me. |
Re: Joe Hachem hand from Main Event
Hatchem knows this player will call down, so he has no problem betting his AA.
Donk has KQ. Edit: I also would not be surprised at all if Hatchem had JTs. Donk *definitely* has KQ though. I would put KK in Hatchem's range also but given that Donk has KQ those are unlikely. Now that I think about it more I like Hatchem having JTs more and more. |
Re: Joe Hachem hand from Main Event
They both got AK and chop the pot.

Re: Joe Hachem hand from Main Event
I smell set over set.

Re: Joe Hachem hand from Main Event
I don't see how you guys read SB as having something like A3 or KQ. All we know is he's a nervous slowplayer.

Re: Joe Hachem hand from Main Event
Hachem: ak
SB= kq |
Re: Joe Hachem hand from Main Event
the river bet screams I have a hand that I want to check fold, but its a good hand. So I'm going to bet and hope you jsut call. Now that you raised, I want to fold, but you might be bluffing, and my hand is pretty good, and I really want to know what you have, so I call.
Underbetting mediocre hands and then calling a raise is one of the most salient characteristics of NL players our of their depth. |
Re: Joe Hachem hand from Main Event
So what was the outcome? Let's hear it.
