I only play the tournaments, but there is definitely a floor person. If the OP never asked the dealer to call the floor then I'm not sure how he can complain. Dealer quality definitely varies and dealers keep tips but I believe they have to share with the floor people etc.

I chopped 1st in the Main Event last night so maybe I am biased but I like playing the tournaments. Structure is definitely bad. If you don't know how to play a short stack don't bother.
