With the 2 additional BB's you put in to call it down, you're getting 6 to 1. Your hand will be good or will improve to be good at least that often.

I play it the same. I'd lead the turn if the raise came from a later position. But from EP with 4 more players left to act, it's less likely he's drawing.

I would disagree. I think this is a raise most of the time against loose opponents (and given the info the poster has provided yes I would raise too), but if the players that limped are tight, thinking players, then raising a non-premium hand out of position & also allowing them to narrow down your possible hands isn't a great play IMO. Does anyone else see value in checking the BB or does deception have little value in a 6-way pot?

Deception value doesn't even come close to making up for the +EV you give up by not raising AQs here, tight thinking opponents or not.

Yes, this was my thought. If he is on a spade draw, why would he try to clear out the field like that with a flop raise? Wouldn't he be better off calling and letting others in behind him for a nice payoff when he hits his flush.

I put him on a made hand already, and when he capped the flop, I thought it even more likely that he had two pair or a set as opposed to a flush draw.
