LIberalism is Losing.....American is Shifting Back Towards its Roots
 

I love America, but hate the country that it's gradually turning into. Refer to SpearsBritney's post, but in a more negative light.

Personally, I do NOT think you love the USA. Your 'love' of the USA is completely conditional on which POLITICAL PARTY is in power. I think the 2nd part of your sentence is where the truth really lies...

Politically, the ideology liberalism is in the decline. Jimmy Carter/Ronald Reagan were the two men most responsible for turning the corner. Jimmy Carter for being such an incompetant boob and Reagan for establishing conservatism as a viable alternative to liberalism (I hope Bush43's Compassionate Conservatism aka Democrat Lite is just a passing fad). Once the 1960s generation dies off, the Democrat party will be in HUGE trouble.

The American Democrat Party has had a strangle-hold on American politics since FDR. In the 1990s the Republicans won the House for the first time in roughly 50 years, the CBS/NBC/ABC liberal news monopoly has been broken (thank you internet and cable news!). The main stumbling block is activist liberal judges who ignore the Constitution and make rulings on their whims. The only two ways to get rid of these judges is by impeachment or by replacing them with originalist judges as the liberal judges die/retire.

Americans have been gradually rejecting liberalism (the Democrats!) since Jimmy Carter. If you truly hate the way the country is headed, you are REALLY GOING to hate it in the future. Perhaps Canadian citizenship is for you.

I actually have to take exception to this. Carter’s problem was that he was actually too smart. He was such an intellectual that he tried to micro manage every event. That was truly his downfall That and appointing a bunch of backwoods clowns
