I fold here.

I'm not calling off my entire stack here with AKo at level 3 of a tournament preflop absent some read that says that Button is a complete LAG and will push any two here.

I would make a note about Button pushing all-in at level 3 with a 29x BB preflop raise. This screams of poor play to me.

Re: Do I call this ridiculous bet?

JCM, I'm sure ICM will say this is a call. I'm absolutely positive villain does not have AA or KK. So his hand range is likely A8+, 22+ (sans AA/KK).

PokerStove:
Hand 1: 62.8355 % 59.20% 03.63% { AKo }
Hand 2: 37.1645 % 33.53% 03.63% { QQ-22, A2s+, A2o+ }

I call this a lot. But, with your stacksize, and villain's stacksize, I'd probably hem and haw for a while, and flip a coin.

PS - sans is French for without.

On occasion, even decent players who think they never get action with premium hands will push a monster on the theory that that they might as well try to bust somebody rather than try to win a few BB's. The fact that you are considering calling shows that this tactic has some merit.

Although I agree with this statement, without more info, and just by going by the stacksizes, I don't think this is the case here.

I'd fold and congratulate him when he shows AA.

Hey, thanks for the thoughtful reply. I actually think the question is a rather close one. Do you have good reasons for folding?
