I did this also (start with 4) at first and felt overwelmed. So I just 3 tabled for a while then added the 4th and was really easy. I've just added a 5th (could do more but only have one screen) and it works like clock work. -For the original poster you will just have to keep playing it out and before you know it 4 tables will get boring!!!!

I liked to 3 table for a while on one monitor because I could use the remaining desktop space to use for taking player notes, checking cashier / hand count for bonus reasons, etc.

I don't think playing 4 is much harder, just tougher to time those bathroom breaks and take notes with no desktop space.

I can comfortably 3-table 6-max and browse 2+2 at the same time. But when I add a 4th and concentrate only on the poker, it still gives me a headache.
