Re: Sitcom based on Annie Duke canceled
Hi Voltron:
I agree completely. I won't state my reasons, but I don't believe that this show would have been good for poker. best wishes, Mason |
Re: Sitcom based on Annie Duke canceled
What Mason won't admit to us is that he still wakes up at 3AM from a nightmare in which he is watching the NBC Emeril Lagasse sitcom "Emeril".

Re: Sitcom based on Annie Duke canceled
Why does everybody on this forum love Howard Lederer and despise Annie Duke?
|
Re: Sitcom based on Annie Duke canceled
Howard is sexier.
Not gay. He also has an IQ above that of a tree, while it would appear from most of what she says, that his sister does not. |
Re: Sitcom based on Annie Duke canceled
Well, I think Howard's sexier, but I'd hope so.
But I respect Annie as much as I respect Howard. And, I think she's just as smart. (It's not like "stupid" is a prerequisite for getting admitted to a PhD program at Columbia.) |
Re: Sitcom based on Annie Duke canceled
Stupid is a prereq for saying professional poker players have it no better than slaves picking cotton while playing WPT events.

Re: Sitcom based on Annie Duke canceled
Good. That show would have been similar to a UTG raise with a 7 2 offsuit and it's not even close

[/ QUOTE ] and Appallingly Stupid is the criterion for what she actually said, which was that poker players were worse than slaves, because they were "paying to pick the cotton". |
