While I do agree that SS2 is better for the beginning player...

Since when is Todd Brunson a world champion?

If I didn't know better I'd think you were making a joke here.

You are right:

I meant that Super System II has several world Champion writers and its hard research!

It's kind of advanced, so IMO wait until you've played awhile and read some other books.

Capaletti's "How to Win at Omaha High-Low Poker" book is a good start for beginners. It taught me the basics of play quite well.

I'm sure Ray Zee is a great poker player, but his book is of almost no use to someone trying to learn how to play high low from scratch.

BS.

I was a loser at omaha the first time I played it - I garuntee it. I stopped playing, ordered Ciaffone's book and Zee's book (because the game I was playing was choice and we had Holdem, Omaha, and Omaha/8).

After reading these two books I was a winner in both variations of Omaha. I was already proficient at holdem before reading these books.

You are the exception, Zees book is more useful to advanced players with a lot of experience.
perhaps the starting hand requirements are useful to a beginner. The book by tenner is a better start for a new player

Re: ray zee\'s book

if you know little about poker, get some beginner stuff first. if you cant grasp more than basic stuff stay with that. if you can advance fast go with it and prosper. but i always tell everyone to read all you can and learn to sort out the bad stuff. when you can do that you are on the road to understanding poker. why gamble lots of money with only basic information.
