You guys have never done weird(bad) stuff when you moved up limits and you were uncomfortable playing that high? I know that when I move up(I am actually moving down now) I usually make half retarded plays for the first couple sessions until you get a feel for the level. This was his first hand! I know you guys werent trying to be dicks but you cant learn if you dont make mistakes.

I don't mind moving up but the 100 NL to 400 NL is a huge jump but if he's folding middle set on a fairly drawless board because one of two scare cards in the deck come he is playing with scared money. I think a more natural progression would be to move to the 200 NL for at least a couple thousand hands before moving to 400 NL that way the 400 dollar bet seems big but not that big. Beating 100 NL just requires a pulse, beating the 400 NL requires a little more skill and that some of that skill is much more easily learned at the 200 NL tables.

Very true. I just thought that just because someone made one bad mistake doesnt mean they arent ready for that level. I really cant judge though because I dont know the player or the game(I dont play PP).

He's beat by AA, TT, and 43. He beats AT, A5, A2, 22 and AJ-AK. Villain push-raises all in on turn when the A hits, does this look like a monster? Not to me. Folding cannot be correct here.

Another vote for an easy call.

Villain is going to have A10, Ax [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], or 22 way more often than 1010, AA or 34, imo, especially w/ the way he played it. I actually think that a suited ace of spades is very likely here. I think villain would have raised AA preflop here, w/ two limpers when the action gets to him, and if he has 1010, for him to just flat call the flop here w/ several possible draws in a six-way unraised pot would be just godawful (which doesn't preclude him from doing so, of course). The only other hand hero's behind is 34, and he's still drawing pretty live against a straight. Call.
