Did the other player's show you their cards? That would explain some of it.

Now we're getting somewhere.

Predictable, but funny!

Not 3-betting the turn is about a 3-5 BB mistake.

I really did want to 3-bet it.
But I didn't want to be too aggressive, ya know?

Okay, step by step:

Preflop: Good, although sometimes I just smoothcall to disguise my hand.

Flop: Good, but why not slip a fifth bet in?

Turn: Slowplaying's a mistake here. While you clearly have the best hand, it is somewhat vulnerable. You really need to 3-bet.

River: See flop advice.

It's really a shame there's not unlimited raises once it gets heads-up. This is one of those rare setup hands where you could have gotten his whole stack.

Eerily similar to this one I played last night:

(3 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with 1 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], joker [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Hero raises, Hero 3-bets, Hero caps, Hero calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (17 SB) A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, Hero raises, Hero 3-bets, Hero caps, Hero calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (14.50 BB) A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, Hero raises, Hero 3-bets, Hero caps, Hero calls, Hero calls.

River: (20.50 BB) J http://www.gwally.com/tests/images/purplehorseshoe.gif (3 players)
Hero checks, Hero bets, Hero calls, Hero raises, Hero 3-bets, Hero calls, Hero caps, Hero calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: One hundred zillion BB
Main Pot: One hundred zillion BB, between Hero, Hero, and Hero. > Pot won by Hero (Eleventy bazillion BB).

Results in white below:
Hero has Qd 8d (high card, king).
Hero has 6d 3d (one pair, threes).
Hero has 1d jokerd
Outcome: Hero wins Eleventy trillion bazillion BB.
