You should make a note on the player who made the comment, something to the effect of "moron". This guy obviously doesn't have much poker experience, or he would know a pot-sized bet from the pf raiser is pretty standard. As for the actual hand, that is pretty risky raising ATs OOP. Try to avoid building big pots with drawing hands out of position, this can lead to some very uncomfortble decisions later in the hand. Say the flop comes Ace high and someone behind you calls your pot-sized flop bet, now what are you going to do on the turn? JMO

I like to build an arrow out of chips pointing at the jackass who questions me, and let him know he is my next target. Then avoid all pots with him.

Limp preflop. ATs is not strong enough to be playing out of position if anyone calls your preflop raise. Even if you're at a really loose table, punish loose limpers by raising weaker hands in position, not out of it.

Second this. Just want to add that it wouldn't be a bad move to raise from MP ocassionally if the players behind you are tight enough that by raising you have a good chance to buy the button.

On the flop continuation bets are a good thing most of the time. I typically make mine about 2/3 pot because I like to raise a lot of hands PF. On this flop though I wouldn't say a continuation bet is standard. Once you get 4-5 players in the pot it is less likely to win you the pot and you are probably chip spewing if you are always making contiuation bets in spots like this. It definetly is a table dependent thing.
