I have the impression that TS is an experienced poker player who has read a book or three, so I don't think he should have any trouble understanding 7CS4AP. I think that if someone has a lot of trouble grasping that or almost any other poker book, they're probably not equipped to beat the game anyway.

That is flattering confidence, Andy, though in this case it's (happily) true. I haven't been playing a super long time, but I have played a pretty fair amount and am at least what you could call a decent player. I work with numbers as part of my job, so I'm reasonably competent with the theory and math side of the game. I've enjoyed other of Sklansky's books (and found them helpful), so that probably should help establish my theory geek "street cred" to some extent. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Again, thanks for the replies. I'm really enjoying learning stud and am glad I found this resource (since the other poker forum I actively read has very few stud players).
