Re: Bit Torrents

Does anyone know who got hit with the lawsuits that the MPAA filed about 2 or 3 weeks ago? When the filed the first round of suits in November, they were on eff.org within a week or two... Can anyone lead me to the IP addresses that have been subpoenaed in this second round?

are they safe to use? well, as safe as i2hub or DC++ or KaZaa ?

IIRC, i2hub is only available to people on campus networks, and the i2hub people have to come out to the campus and get it set up. There is very little chance of getting caught unless some bitch starts selling people out the them because there is no way for people on other networks to get on.

Notice the RIAA and other groups NEVER go after people who are downloading stuff, it's just those who share. I mostly just download TV shows anyways, but just make sure you're sharing stuff that nobody cares about like "the wonder years" or other obscure things. This will help your download/upload ratio and won't get you in trouble.

Yeah you would have found out by now. I wouldn't sweat it, especially if you were sharing less than 500 songs or so.
