These guys also bring very large denomination chips from the Bellagio which they will exchange with each other. And they bought $1000 worth of $1 chips to use SOLELY at this table at a predetermined value of $1000 each for a $1,000,000.00 base amount of chips on the table. When one went bust somebody would just slide a rack or two over and make a note on a sticky pad. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] ....When we moved the game to the main room from out in the temporary area (one of our BJ pits with poker tables installed for the month) last nite, Phil Ivey left the sticky pad on the table in the pit!! I went out and found it 20 minutes after he realized it was missing. Some very large numbers were on it.

The results of this game?

I cant say for sure but Phil stated he was stuck 400k at one point and I believe he left a rather large winner. I heard Sammy telling him how much he had in his Bellagio acct or lockbox so I guess Phil gets paid off there. (Dont ask I aint gonna say the amount Sammy said)

Oh and BTW as for Phil saying he was stuck 400k....he said it loud enough at the table that anyone within 15 feet could have heard it. I just happened to be within 10 inches.

Sweet, this is exactly the kind of answer I was hoping to get. Very clever.

How do they pay the rake? In a game this size, even if using "native" chips instead of belagio chips with arbitrary values, it seems like it would be oppressively annoying to suck $4 out of each pot. Does a "big game" like this usually incur a time charge or other fee structure even if the room is mostly a rake-based operation?

You don't need a mule for chips.

The TSA looks at casino chips like they are some strange object from Mars, quickly figures out they are made of clay and won't explode, and waves you thru.

Cash is the problem, both due to 9/11, and the war on drug laws.

Also, when going to Tunica, make sure you have no books or other written material on you, they will be confiscated at the border checkpoint when you enter that 3rd world country known as Mississippi.

IMO, cash is the problem because the government can't stand to see someone with untracable (read: untaxable) money.

Well from the work we do...i know it is "illegal" in most states to carry more than 10k on you (you can be held for it thus the "illegal"), although I believe they bumped the sum up a little. They can detain you and take your money until you can "prove to thier satisfaction" where you got the money". Id like to believe most cops don't give too many people a problem...but u never know with these power trip bullies now days!!
