Re: AA vs big stack limp
That's pretty much the answer I expected.
I tend to play this that way as well, but many posters on this site (as well as elsewhere) advocate pushing. I think I am beginning to see why. Bird in hand, two in bush, and all that jazz. |
Re: AA vs big stack limp
Thank you for the response.
I know my mini raise was weak. I agree I should have bet at least 4x. I think I definitely misplayed my hand when the A popped on the turn, I got cute with it. Mostly because I wanted to double up. I should have pushed on the turn, and if he had called me, I would not have given him the odds for him to make the call. I certainly don't like to push with AA PF. I think it was the perfect oportunity for me to double up. Unfortunetely I made a few mistakes, especially on the turn and gave the player odds to call my bet. Again, it was impossible for me to understand that the player was on a OESD. |
Re: AA vs big stack limp
I'm not sure I like the line of pushing preflop with this hand. I think a substantial raise is in order preflop, then a push on almost any flop immediately. I agree don't get cute.
