I really enjoy all of the Canadian exports:

Beer, bacon, caramel, strawberry preserves, comedians...

Can we send back their singers though?

People really are fed up with the pompous attitude of the Canadian Government, and I think some of that pompousness carries over to some of Canada's citizens.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh . . and of course this DOESN'T apply equally as well (or greater in fact) in America !!

Cracka . . . you really are an idiot some of the time.

Well it's a good thing . . . considering that this "inferior" country is your largest trading partner (and it's not even close).

Re: American Bastard

Excuse me, but the American pilot did not "decide" to bomb those Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan anymore than the Army Rangers in Pat Tillman's unit "decided" to kill him with friendly fire.

Canadian fans booing the American anthem is nothing more than the typical jealousy emanating from our neighbors north of the border.

And for your proclamation that the U.S. didn't "get their head out of the sand" and join Canadian forces in WWII until two years after the Canucks, well, let me remind you that the U.S. was a little busy fighting the Japanese in the Pacific.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ah . . yah he did. It was his decision and his alone.

Did he choose to bomb them knowing that they were friendlies . . .of course not. But he DECIDED to bomb them.

But of course that is not the point. The poster that you were responding to, just gave that as EXAMPLE of why some people MAY have booed the American anthem on a PARTICULAR night.

Maybe if you got your head out of your ass and read the rest of his post you would see that your post offers NO counterpoint to any of the main points that he was trying to make, the biggest one of which was this,

[ QUOTE ]
For the most part, the ill feelings of Canadians do not come from jealousy as you say, but rather their perception of an arrogance on the part of "many" Americans, such as that exhibited in your letter.

[/ QUOTE ]

which of course you could not offer any retort to.

Weak to say the least !
