thanks for the link...

i really don't like his play in that hand for the reasons pointed out by other posters...the situation is different beause we aren't against a maniac that may raise the river with hand that we beat and hands that we don't beat, so i think check/calling is best...

Assume you are up against someone who plays 70%+ of his hands and PRFs 18%+. With a postflop Agg of 4.0 he must be raising tons of hands on every street. This hand is all about the read. I'm reading him as a maniac.

What could he have? I'm putting him on AXs, Any two broadway, any pair, A8o, K9o, K7s, Q8s, J9s, T9s. He may have other hands I'm missing that we are also ahead of. Stove says I have 60% equity on the flop. I have 70% equity on the turn.

Since the opponent here will raise worse hands, you can't fold.

so at what point do you go into call down mode if you want to put in multiple bets on the flop and turn?

I think only putting 1 bet on each street is weak. I actually like Hero's line here best. 3-bets on flop and two on the turn. Leading the turn is more important though. I wouldn't want to put in more than 2 bets on the turn I don't think.
