I don't really get what the big deal is with these hot spots. It sounds pretty expensive if you can only use it in coffee shops.

I've been looking around for different internet service options and I think I'm pretty much screwed. I have dialup right now through my main phone line. I'm about to add a second phone line just for the internet. I'll be paying around $50-$60 a month just for dialup, plus my regular phone line, plus $50/mo for my cell phone. I can't get dsl or broadband in my area. I even checked into satellite internet service which is rediculously expensive.

Is there actually a cellular based internet service that can be accessed from anywhere?

Do I have any other options?

Thanks for the info. I had no idea that T-Mobile offered at such a low price (relative to Verizon and Cingular).

I know that Cingular and Verizon both have services. Unlimited usage is $80/month.

Also, sometimes the details of their service can only be found in the business sections of the sites.

I have Verizon's service. My work pays for it so that I can connect to my work comp from anywhere on my laptop, but since it's unlimited usage, I use it all the time. It's really nice [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
