I was just happy that I had put into practice what I had learnt so far and got some nice results. That's what was important to me. I seemed to get a bit lucky from time to time and unlucky others, but I wouldn't say I had an amazingly lucky night.

Having said that, I must have. As I said I could not believe how awful some of the players were and I'm sure against better players I would have got a hiding but after playing on a few tables I struggled to find many decent players at all.

The more I read about poker, the more I realise how little I know and the only thing to do is to learn more. Which I am quite looking forward to!

I do most of my book ordering on E-bay, though I don't know if any of the retailers on there are in the UK, thus making shipping much cheaper for you.

Buying books there is much cheaper I've found even after shipping. Hope to see you up at the $1/$2 tables someday which is where I migrate on Party.
