That's mine back from March. Got lucky and hit some weird special attacks where I was in the air for a long time and racked up major points.

These are not random. You will get a special if you hit a yellow or blue when the next person in line is blue/yellow.

purple powerup specials - these occur infrequently after hitting the purple 'block' girl. after going over a few people on the fly, it will randomly say "** VS **" instead of the red X over the specials. if you hit a person while the VS is up, you get a powerup.

These (the Cosmic Force Fields of different flavors) are not random either, but it's harder to explain how to get them. Basically, when you have a purple "skip" active, every 10th person in line (at each 100 meter mark) will give you a cosmic force field instead of their normal effect IF they are one of the girls. The guys still have their normal effects.
