I think you are underestimating how often your opponent is raising because he thinks he has the best hand, but doesn't. Like with 77-kk or A6 or 67 or whatever. Threebetting gets another bet out of those hands.

i agree with what you just said, but i dont agree that reraising is of good value... you are opening youreself up for fourbets, and people who arent retarded will fold 99.

a thought on checking the turn. if he has a hand he'll bet when you check so you'll get value out of him either way. more often than not if he raises the turn you're losing so you can't really worry about not getting 2 bets on the turn from him when taking your check the turn line. it seems like checking the turn takes the number of bets you put in on the turn closer to the right number.

and jay please stop naming all your threads "boring hand" it is getting tiresome.
