I floor in St. Louis, and we have up to 20/40 games. It has not happened in the bigger games, because players are usually paying much more attention, but in the smaller games, we usually pay it out of the rack and let the chips play.

Saying that however, that is just a gesture from us to keep the players happy. The dealers make mistakes, and as said earlier in a post, the players should be paying attention at all times to protect himself from something like that happening.

You might as well have asked the floor to pull the chips from his ass, because that outcome is equally likely.

I agree which is why I would have ruled to keep the BB in and give the player back his BB from the dealer tray. Although the other rule mentioned might be more correct.

This doesnt happen in a black chip game. Players are paying attn. Even when they're wrong!
