Re: A10s Button play??

Raise, you have a huge equity edge against 5 players in position with ATs.

You should also raise that flop, and take a freecard on the turn unless an ace or club falls. If utg 3 bets and the callers fold you should just call, if the callers call 2 cold cap.

I'm thinking we should NOT take a free card on the turn, but bet to protect our Ace out.

Re: A10s Button play??

I play 5-10 live, games are usually nice and loose. In my game I'm raising this from anywhere. If 5 are in before you and the blinds I'm cc'ing with this hand as well.

With that many players in and no raises your pf equity is huge.

Re: A10s Button play??

Er, I don't think our A high is the best hand very often here, and even less so on the turn assuming we don't pair up. Even when it is, the opposition is drawing thin: any [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] pairing outs they have are dead, and often they'll have a worse A or something. There's not much of a reason to bet into 3 opponents on the turn if you miss.

Raise preflop, and totally massively obviously definitely raise that flop. For sure. All day. Forever.

Re: A10s Button play??

I was looking to kick out A-10, A-J, A-Q, A-8, and A-4 in case we pair our Ace on the river. Though perhaps any big Aces would've raised PF (and therefore don't exist in this hand), and A-8/4 probably isn't going anywhere for one bet.
