Not sure what qualifies as rock anymore but Beck's Guero has to be on the short list.

Obviously. I just wanted to keep "rap" out of this. I want this to be a total indie hipster lovefest.

what about crossover rap albums like "Late Registration"?

Kanye rules. Sure.

The Go! Team - Thunder, Lightning, Strike should also be considered.

Edit: As should Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better.

Illinois was excellent. Also loved Blueberry Boat, though I can see why some people hate the Fiery Furnaces. Demon Days and the new Franz Ferdinand were great too.

Very disappointed by Repulsion Box, the first full-length from Sons & Daughters. Their EP was excellent, but the new album basically shows that they only have one song archetype. It's a good song, but I don't need 18 versions of it.

I liked this year's offerings from High on Fire and Lightning Bolt.
