Re: shady 2 pair, need turn and river help
looks good. Check river.
I think you've gotten about as big a pot as you'd like to play and be ahead. The only alternative way to play this would to call turn and play poker on river. I prob like way you played it more. |

[/ QUOTE ] A lot of bad things can happen if you raise the turn here, such as: 1) Player 1 three bets, and you have to fold what is probably a clean four outer, which is a shame. 2) Player 1 calls the raise, and then blocks/value bets the river for 1/2 pot or so with KQ or a set of 222s. This will happen a lot and will result in a bigger pot than the alternative line, which is to call the turn, and then call the river. It's also worth noting that the raise here isn't large enough to narrow the field. Player 1 isn't going anywhere. Player 2 probably has correct odds to draw. |

Yes, I'd definitely raise the turn.

how come no one is talking about the flop check behind? [/ QUOTE ] I bet the flop almost every time, but it makes things very tricky against good players. Checking through makes the hand much simpler to play. |

how come no one is talking about the flop check behind? [/ QUOTE ] Two-tone flop with two cards in the playable range. Two opponents who called a substantial raise, including one who is loose and running hot (and therefore likely to give action with gutters and make moves with draws). I don't mind the check. I like the turn raise. On the river, one perhaps useful bet amount is enough to put the short stack allin. Say, half pot or so, 4K. Big stack will know that a bet of this size is not a bluff, and if he comes over the top you can fold. Downside is that this is an obvious value bet, but you may still get a loose call from a king or smaller two pair. |
Re: shady 2 pair, need turn and river help
i don't mind the check either, but i also dont mind getting TT and JJ to fold.

Re: shady 2 pair, need turn and river help
TT and JJ are usually raising preflop, not limp-calling. They might also call one bullet on the flop, particularly given AZK's LAGtacular style.
While he might get calls from worse hands (straight draws, 9x), I don't think he's going to fold out better ones by betting. |
Re: shady 2 pair, need turn and river help
Check behind, you played it fine otherwise.
I bet the flop like 25-75% of the time though dependng on the villians, even though in this game, that percentage is probably on the lower side. |
