The raise on the flop sucks.

You really think the opponent has an A 100% of the time?

I think this is bad advice. You should raise this flop.

A few responses:

Note that I didn't raise SOLELY for information, I also assured myself a cheap(er) showdown by being able to check through the river, saving 1/2BB.

What hands can villian reasonably put me on? AK-AJ, KK-TT, maybe 99-88 and/or KQ or QJ. I don't think J6o is going to be calling a river bet here. Or am I giving them too much credit?

I could also be asking if I played the hand poorly by 1) missing a river value bet or 2) waiting to raise until the turn.

Villian shows down Ad5c.

Looks reasonable. Villian is less likely to have an A when there are two on the board. I don't think you'd get much info with your flop raise though, because many players would c/r you on the turn w/ an Ace.

River check through seems wise.

At least his weak play cost you less. I'd probably feel I should call this down if I got c/r'd on the turn. If he followed that up with a bet on the river, since a club fell, I might be able to fold. A read would help a lot there.

What if the villian were to 3-bet the flop? I'd probably fold in that situation, particularly with passive players. Would any sort of aggression from the villan on any streets force you to fold (besides the initial flop bet)?

Looks pretty good. Maybe you should have bet the river since it's likely with his lack of aggression that he doesn't have an ace.

However, I think absolute's idea of just calling down on all streets is the way to go. If he keeps the lead you don't have to worry about nasty check-raises.

I play this the exact same on each street. nh.

I think a 3-bet on the flop or a CR on the turn makes this a clear fold at this level. From what I hear a bluff turn CR at the more aggressive levels (3-6 and above, especially SH games) is not that unusual and would be worth calling down.
