Bah. I miss the days when people called me out for being an [censored]. Maybe I should go back to criticizing every stupid post again.

This place has kinda gone downhill. People have just gotten...nicer. You're a prime example, and the other one that jumps out is citanul no longer telling people to go hang themselves. THEN he tells everyone to stop calling people stupid!

I'm interested why you decided to move up to the $33. I would think playing more $22 to get that ROI up would be the wiser road to take.

This data set includes like a month long break and another 2 week break, so it's not sequential at all. 300 11s, 200 22s, couple 33s, then a break...come back and play 11s, etc. So I haven't been continuously moving up, there's been lots of movement up and down over these 1k.

Fair enough. You have either run extremely bad or you have one or more major leaks.

Your ITM (just from following the Aleo guide) in the 11s-22s should be at least 37%, probably a bit higher.

You mind posting your finish distribution? I think after a 1000 SnGs your finish distribution should give you an indication of what part of your game is holding you back.

Re: My most recent 1000 tourneys (boring stats! Tiny e-penis!)

I am starting to think not.

I have had (all at the 22s)

a 1000 group with a 25% ROI

a 1000 group with a 10% ROI

With ITM just as off as the ROI

I am seeing that 1000 sample size can by WAY off. I still don't know if I am a 10, 15, or 20% ROI at the 22s after 1000s of games.

I have no doubt I'm doing tons of stuff wrong. In fact ask anyone I talk to on AIM and they'll tell you that I'm pretty sure I suck Anyway here ya go:

1 - 14%
2 - 8.48%
3 - 11.24%
4 - 14.40%
5 - 13.12%
6 - 11.34%
7 - 11.44%
8 - 7.59%
9 - 4.64%
10 - 3.55%

I also have wild ROI swings, but my ITM is much more stable.

Re: My most recent 1000 tourneys (boring stats! Tiny e-penis!)

Your ITM distribution is fine. Since your 1sts are so high and your ITM is so low (and 8th-10th are too high) my guess is that you are overaggressive all the way from the start to the end of a SnG. Doesn't have to be crazy aggression, just a bit of overaggression here and there. You either get your hands on a load of chips or go down in a blaze of glory.

My suggestion would be to try to be more patient and see how it works out (if you agree about the aggression part, for all I know you might be superpassive but a huge luckbox while HU). Hovering around 34-35% ITM puts a ceiling on how profitable SnGs can be for you. You really need to find ways to get ITM more often and there is no reason why your ROI shouldn't double or triple.

Here are my finish distributions and I am probably one of the more conservative (read: weak-tight) players on this forum.

1st 13.2%
2nd 13.3%
3rd 14.5%
4th 13.9%
5th 15.6%
6th 11.9%
7th 8.7%
8th 4.6%
9th 2.2%
10th 2.1%
