If I call a bet on the river in LHE, the bettor shows his hand, and I go to muck, can the bettor request to see my hand?

Alternatively, if I make a bet on the river, show, and the caller mucks, can I request to see the hand?

And also, with whatever your response may be, is it like that in almost every casino or does it differ?

I THOUGHT I knew the answer to this, but a situation tonight, along with a couple people at the table agreeing, has caused me to rethink all of this.

arent 1 and 2 the same thing?

Yes, 1 and 2 are the same. I made the post as I was falling asleep.

Bettor always must flip his cards first, right?

no
unless my memory is failing, the taj rules are the hands should be shown in order starting from sb regardless of last aggression, at least this is what the players state, ive never cared to ask a floor (not that that would give me the right answer either)

I think you might be thinking of what happens when there is earlier action but a checked river. Some places have that it reverts to the turns action, so do it in the clockwise manner.
