So I just saw the highlights of this game and this play has not been discussed at all:

WTF happened on the 4th and 1 on the goal line play where Peyton faked a handoff and then rolled out like a chicken with his head cut off? Was this play discussed in the post game press conference?

I place more blame on him for that as well.

[/ QUOTE ]

clearly a busted play. Peyton was running play action, everyone else was running a run play.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well yeah, but I want to know whose fault it was (or some sort of explanation)...

[/ QUOTE ]

my guess is that it's Peytons fault, but I doubt anybody is going to point fingers.

(as opposed to the Colts whose schedule has been tough, and before you auto shout "NUH UH" to that, no one said it was the toughest, but it was tough).

[/ QUOTE ]

Colts had the sixth easiest schedule coming into this game. Why would you even say something so incredibly false as this?

[/ QUOTE ]

This is ridiculous, everyone in the NFL has a tough schedule, ask last years Pats how easy their schedule was after that embarassing loss to the Dolphins. The Colt's played good teams and bad teams like everyone else and the idea that they had that "sixth" best schedule is that part that's laughable. What magic stat (other then the all important record) tells you that, did you do a straw poll of teams and ask "about how hard did/are you going to play the Colts?"
Please, the NFL is the best pro sports league because of it's parity, some teams are better then others sure, but all teams have a chance, to call the Colts soft after beating the Pats, Steelers, Bengels, and Jags (but but players X was hurt, or it was in Indy, or well they didn't win by 50) is just silly.

Do you know what a double standard is? Why is it the '72 Dolphins had a cake schedule, and the Colts, (who have played the miserable Texans and Titans twice each) have had their work cut out for them?

Peyton took, umm... “credit” for it here on local news. He just thought Edge wouldn’t make it looking at defense. No one knew, not even Edge, that he was gonna keep the ball. He has done that a few times before and this is the first time I can remember that it failed.

Whoa. He didn't try to throw Reggie Wayne under the bus? This is an obvious turning point in his career.

I know you’re just trying to be “funny”, but the truth is... he never blames his receivers for his mistakes. On the other hand, in years past I thought he blamed the defense too much. I thought “if you (Manning) wouldn’t throw so many interceptions in our red zone, the D wouldn’t give up so many points.” But to be fair, he’s pretty good a shouldering the blame. I don’t get why many of you guys hate him so much, except that maybe he has torched your teams too many times.

True. The Pats had a good run. Yes, I said “had.”

I figured you would like Vanderjerk, since he also has had a problem with Manning.. you two could “bond.”
