Re: An idea (ATTN: Bison)
I had an idea, kill the converter for a week.
Wasn't it my idea originally? I still think a one week experiment should run. It won't take much, a post announcement and boom, a slow down, real simple. Peace, Joe Tall |

Maybe. But your best idea is when I point to the sky K-Rod style every time I drag a pot. Bleacher seats, Yankee Stadium $125 range |

My solution to this problem is to create two small stakes forums. One for 2/4, and one for 3/6 and 5/10. This will allow posts to stay up at the top for longer and solve the traffic problem. It will also allow people to more easily understand the small differences between 2/4 and 3/6. What do you guys think? [/ QUOTE ] cool ideer |
Re: An idea (ATTN: Bison)
So I've been lurking for a bit and have just posted my first hand histories today, and already have seen problems with the number of posts. These forums have already been an invaluable resource for me, and I think small changes could benefit newbies (like me) a lot.
I was incredibly suprised to not find any stickies in the SS or micro forums. I think stickies alone could greatly improve the post number problem. Along with having rules for posting, would be hand examples. As it was mentioned earlier, 1000 posts of each hand type per day are useless. Someone else has probably encountered the EXACT same situation as you, and plenty of people have probably already responded to it. But how are you supposed to wade through all the past posts for it? Having a FAQ with common hand questions (like unimproved overcards) would, IMO, do wonders for newbies. I am a lot more willing to spend hours reading posts *recommended* by some of the experienced 2+2ers than I am trying to wade through the thousands of search results. Is there anyone who would be willing to create a FAQ with some excellent hand examples of what to do (or not to do). Does anyone use the favorite hand function of PT and have a number of well-played hands they would be willing to post with comments? Just a n00b's $.02 Freakin |
