It's just amazing to me that peole have such a profound respect for Tommy on this site and they take it so personally when anyone questions his poker ability. Frankly, I have a lot of respect for BK because he is one of the most financially successful posters on 2+2. For me that is it. I would consider paying BK $5,000 (actually would probably do it) , but wouldn't even consider giving a guy that makes less $$ than i do playing poker $$ for my time..

You make a lot of money playing poker. Good for you. You are a big douchebag though.

Hold the phone!!! Let me guess this right? You guys have to pay tax on your poker winnings?? It's gambling, how can your government track that? (I don't live in US) PP is not in the US. Can someone explain this to me?

Wow, they really do. I don't think I would ever pay for coaching from someone with a lower winrate than me either. Although I am definately interested in getting down the nuances of live play, I would rather just befriend a high limit live pro and share things back and forth. Poker isn't like gymnastics where there's a phsyical component as well. You really can't teach past your ability. I can't give advice on 300/600, so I wouldn't expect anyone to hire me as a coach. I'm sure this gig is more for the 20/40 live pro who wants to beat 50/100.

Exactly! This thread is a bunch of people backing up Tommy who don't even have $5,000 to use him or wouldn't dream of actually doing it, although they will support the idea of somebody else doing it.

OK, this thread is obviously just annoying now, but it's just so offensive that you can't get the point that I figured I would try one more time. Let's say, arguendo, that Tommy had never played a hand of poker in his life and didn't even know the rules of poker. But let's say, again just for argument's sake, that he could speak magic words to you which would cause you to never tilt at all and to play your complete perfect game to the best of your ability 100% of the time. How much would his advice be worth? What level games would he be able to beat?
