YPC from a backup with less than 100 carries is irrelavent,

??? No it's not. LMJ was one of the most productive backs in the league last year. He went from a dominating O-Line to a pitiful one and he's paying the price.

See also: Clinton Portis.

I am curios as to you opinion/ranking of Reuben Droughns this year.

to answer your original question if i were given a choice between spending my money on LT or 3 top notch OL then i would choose the latter (diversifying i guess). im just not huge on spending money on ONE person, even in madden. i get pissed when my players holdout and i just let them rot.

but LT IS GREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT.

But I'd be willing to make a small wager (I'm not much of a betting man) that, if the Shaun Alexander doesn't return to Seattle, their RBs will combined run for 1500 yards.

Bold prediction. In 2004, 28 of 32 NFL teams rushed for 1500 yards. I don't feel like going through each team's stats to subtract QB rushing and end-arounds, but let's guess 300 yards for that. Still, 18 of the 32 had 1800 total, or probably 1500 from RBs.

This just adds to my point. If almost every team rushes for 1500 yds, why the hell do we still make such a big deal out of having a 1000 yard rusher?

We don't. I think this stat originated when they plaayed fewer games. Its runneth over.

Reuben has been almost exactly average.

Not just in terms of production, but also in terms of wild-ass-guessing the effect he has on the game in helping Brees, Gates, etc.

I don't know if I would willingly run Bettis in the open field. Especially after last night.
