yeesh.. how do they make it so far..

HU play. Player A has 1.6mill, B has 1.5 mill.

B raises PF, A calls. Flop is A T 3r.

B goes all in for 1.4 or so into a 250,000 pot. A calls w/ 4 3. B shows T 6 and goes on to win..

The hand you busted on you didn't lose because of luck. You got outplayed sorely. EMP limps 8 or 9 handed, gets raised by LMP, and jacksup goes all-in from the SB with 99. EMP hadn't limped once as far as I'd seen. Anyone play that the same way? As far as stack sizes, limper had the other two outstacked, the latter both a little over average size I think, correct me if I'm wrong.

Limper had QQ and played it brilliantly, taking out the other two. I quess it was luck that QQ help up..

EDIT: btw, you played pretty well otherwise (though that all-in with 33 with three tables left from UTG was.. yeah. And calling that all-in with 78s ). Congratulations.

I don't know man. From reading your journal, and seeing your recent finishes, I don't know of anyone who has had more success in these big online tournies. Maybe Brainwash, as his recent finishes are very impressive as well.

Just please don't start playing online MTT's everyday

Congrats, gg.

Re: *Official* Party Million Guaranteed Sunday

Wow, where to begin.

First, I was saying that I've been WINNING because of good luck, not that I lost due to bad luck (which should've been obvious from the context, but whatever).

Second, that 99 play was pretty standard in any universe, and if you go broke with a hand that big when the average stack is 7 big blinds, those are usually just the breaks.

Third, I'd played with that guy earlier in the day, and he limped constantly, with hands as weak as J8s from early position for a good chunk of his stack. That he happened to have QQ here is totally irrelevant. In fact, if he open raises, A3 folds (instead of moving in), and I still jam and go broke with the nines. The only thing QQ did by limping was give himself a chance NOT to get all my chips. He got lucky that he got them anyway.

Weevil, I don't know your record in MTT's, but I do that Matt is at the final table regularly when he enters the biggest money MTT's, not to mention a final table at least one major WPT event. And after every great performance, posters like you come in and talk about how he misplayed this hand and that hand. And the criticism is almost always the same - the poster says "You shouldn't have gone all-in with that hand, you were likely beat."

JUST ONCE, I would love to see one of the posters who doesn't have 1/10th the success rate as Matt have the wisdom to say "Hey buddy, I don't understand why you went all-in here? But since you seem to kick my butt at these MTT's I may be missing something. Would you explain your thinking?"

Matt the donkey at the final table. Poster the critic sitting on the sideline. See a pattern here?
