I was once Top 10 DCI ranked in Texas for type 2, somewhere around Gran Prix Austin(6-7 years ago). I will be winning a WSOP bracelet this year.

In general, I do not think this is true. The DCI is very hesitant to suspend people, and generally only do it when the evidence is overwhelming.

My only friend that was ever in trouble certainly deserved it, albeit not necessarily for what he was nabbed.

That said, the DCI took too long to sanction him.

While I never played enough to go pro at MTG, I did a lot of writing back in the day. The deal with Williams is, I don't think many people thought that he was cheating (I don't), but there was really no choice but to extract the penalty and ban because the situation is one that you would see if he were.
