I don't get this...have you played w/ him. Do you know how he plays? How exactly are you qualified to assess his abilities?
Just because he's been in movies doesn't mean he isn't better than a good portion of the people who post here.

Right, otherwise we don't get to clean-up on you at 70-1 in Dublin. Back-2-Back is no problem, right? Congrats and good Luck.

I was at the Commerce this weekend. While in the elevator for a minute, Dan Harrington mentioned that he thought Affleck was playing very good.

Isn't the book of Affleck that he's just ultra tight?

Actually, in the article someone linked, Affleck has been coached by pros like Annie Duke and Esfandiari. Just because he's an actor doesn't mean he's got the skills of most on celeb poker showdown /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

actually, he's been on celeb poker... and he lost.

cant believe how far he's come at playing in a year. heard he paid amir vahedi 10k for lessons... they worked.

But do you remember how he lost? I forget the details but he got sucked out on big time. He was, by far, the best player at the table that night (although that's not saying much with most of those celebs)

Lets see...first, Arnold Schwarzenegger is your state governor, and now Ben Affleck is your state poker champion. Applying a logically decreasing scale of "celebrity", surely Soleil Moon-Frye as Miss California cannot be far off.

This is getting a lot of coverage. I saw it on my local TV news (not in Calif.), and Paul Harvey had it this morning....

Wait until the "celeb" magazines come out, a short article in each?
