I currently have a wireless network connection set up on my 2 pcs. I have Comcast cable running to my main computer in the living room, with a Linksys wireless router connecting to my second PC in my room.

Problem is, on my secondary PC, after a couple hours of being idle, I am unable to browse the internet and am forced to restart. Other applications such as downloading files, and usually even playing poker, still work. But Internet Explorer can't connect and I am not sure why. When I restart the computer, all is fine again, and I am able to browse the internet again. So its really a pain to have to restart every time I come home. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

try disabling, and then re-enabling the network card under your network connections .. this happens to my brothers wireless card all the time.

Well I've tried that to no avail. That is if I understand what you are telling me to do. I've tried going to Control Panel/Network Connections, and disable, then enable the Wireless Connection.

Try installing another browser like Firefox or Opera and see if you have the same problem. It's a bit strange that IE would not be able to access the internet, yet email/poker would continue to work.

What sort of messages do you get from IE when it isn't able to connect?

Sounds like you have comcast -> pc -> router -> pc.

If so, it should be comcast -> router => 2 pc's

Instead of rebooting the next time, try

Start->Run
cmd
ipconfig /renew
