I chose fold, but does anyone think this is close?

I only ask because I've seen a lot of people do this with hands like 33-88, because they don't like to play postflop.

What are a range of hands we give villian? Or is it even possibly to assign a range?

I've played with NotChad a few times, and never seem him do this. He is, however, one of the worst players at that table.

I voted call, although I'm not so sure right now because mini 5 structure is strange.

I'll say this... I believe you are ~55% against his range here. That's a guess though. Wanna risk your tourney on it?

I voted call because he really, really sucks, you're ahead of his range and have more of an edge here than you do in the rest of this tournament.

This guy may not be Chad, so I fold.

If someone else had posted this hand I'd say, 'ask Usher...he has notes on everyone and will know.'

I fold if knowing nothing more than I do now (nothing).

do yer thing alan, put him on a range. i think he has one of two hands, AK or TT. why TT? because he would get value with QQ+ and you have JJ so its 4 times as likely for TT. bwahahhaha.. id prolly jump in here. id say he has AK 75% here and some other goofy hand 25%. JJ is ahead of some other goofy hand, which makes this worth enough to take the flip. holla

damn, prophecy now has this guy wih 407 tourneys logged at an average buy in of $944.93. Especially considering that prophecy misses a lot of tournaments, this guy must have A LOT of money to burn.

Originally I felt that it was too early to gamble since the table layout looked pretty decent for me. I'm probably wrong in this assessment and maybe should have called since I'm a big favorite against his range but dunno wasn't thinking clearly that early. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Steps are very fun btw. /images/graemlins/wink.gif <-- just found out now.

actually vs this player, I call...

he does this move in like every step 5 with like pairs like 33,44, 55. True gamblor.

I voted fold, but if I knew what you knew I would have called in a heartbeat.

In the 109s this move is almost always a big hand. The Swedes and Russians love to make this type of move with a big pair.

This thread gave me a reminder about a thread I wanted to start..TY /images/graemlins/smile.gif

man, I have a ok size database from the step 5s, and I have around 10-15 hh's of him doing this in level 1 with 66 down and getting a call /images/graemlins/confused.gif

if you say fold, vs this opponent, meh..I just don't think you understand this oponent. I just don't think your ever up vs JJ+ here, and I think its a coinflip 25% of the time, and I would say small pocket A LOT....

but my sample size might be off, and he might actually do this with bigger pairs also...but I love a call here just because your going to be a 80% favorite at least 65-70% of the time.

anyone else have similar hh's on him, or maybe my database is way off?
