While Abdul's name is a moniker, I think Izmet's is real. Since Izmet is Slovenian (of Albanian anscestry I believe) he is a European. I don't think many people are too mad at European natives who happen to be muslim.

Of course anyone who thinks less of anyone for being Arab or muslim hardly deserves to be an American citizen since they obviously don't know anything about the values America represents.

As a naturalized U.S. citizen from Croatia, I think your comments are right on the mark about Izmet (or Ismet). Interestingly, Albanians, comprised of Muslim, Orthodox Christian and Roman Catholic faiths, are among the least religiously indoctrinated people in Europe. They are known to be clanish, secular, hard working, frugal, and very proud. Thus, none of their conflicts with either Serbs or Macedonians is in the name of religion, but to gain personal and ethnic freedom.
