Did you fold a boat on one table and raise all in on another with 9 high?

I think we should do the bad play thread every monday, each of us picks the worst play we did during the week and we explain our reasoning behind the play, to prevent the embarrasment we will never do bad plays again. Now Curatins why dont u motivate us?

Back when I first started playing sit-n-goes (play money) I once let 90% of my stack get in the middle on a bluff then folded the river.

Fortunately I haven't done anything that dumb in real money /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yesterday, I made a big bet on the flop with my AQsuited to get a free card on my flush draw. The 3rd heart came on the river, adn the other guy pushes, and i beat him to the pot. As the pot slides his way, i notice i had AQdiamonds. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

I expect there is a punchline here, like "I bluffed with 63o" or something, or maybe no joke, just a bad move. Anyway, someone is going to keep bumping this until you tell.

Actually a weekly official bitch/whine thread would be fun to come looking for every week. It might even clean that stuff out of the rest of the forum a little. I'd vote for a Wednesday, so people have a few days to get over their weekend traumas and put them in perspective.

It was just a terrible lapse in concentration that's all. Since I started 8 tabling I've never made a play that I felt was clearly wrong, however this one was. I came over the top of someone with a very marginal hand, when the BB was pot committed anyway...it was just stupid trust me. I just wasn't focused for those few seconds. Also I was just one tabling at that point, as it was the final one of the set!

My "read" was that the villain was bluffing with A-x, where x < Q and doesn't pair the board. But I had no solid evidence from previous hands he would make this bluff, other than it's not uncommon among the other fish at this level. I should have given him credit for at least top pair.

i find that i make my worst mistakes as i am winding down a set, with only 1 or 2 tables still going...

doesn't make much sense, except that i think it just being ready for a break, and losing some focus.

I dunno that you should automatically give hiim credit for "at least top pair"....I think the plurality of the time that play is a flush and/or straight draw. However, yeah...if you didn't have any reason to think he was particularly LAGgy, then maybe calling wasn't so super.

someone min raised on the button to 600, they had 2k chips to begin the hand. I was a big stack (about 3000) and reraised with a garbage hand, taking their raise as weakness, meanwhile the BB has 5 chips left after paying the 300 big blind. It was like my brain just shut off for a second. Of course the button had AA. Of course I also flopped two pair but got counterfeited on river /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Ok I didn't give all the details, but it was really stupid.
