View Full Version : Flush Draw VS Top Pair on 6/10 players

I need a little help with something I was thinking about this past weekend. Can someone help me figure out what the odds are of the following:

2 Players in a hand.
Player A has flush draw on flop.
Player B has Top pair on flop.

What are player A's odds of hitting his flush on a 6 player table as oppossed to a 10 player table?

Any help would be much appreciated.

A player has is a 2:1 dog to hit his flush by the river. The number of people at the table do not affect this calculation, unless you have seen those people's cards.

Many people seem to reason (incorrectly) that having more players makes it more likely that your flush cards have already been used, and therefore changes the odds. This is not the case.

For more explanation on why this is not the case, try searching this forum over the past 2 weeks or so. I (and others) discuss it in detail in another thread.
