Props, to Greg on getting the best of Rick Reilly in an arguement, maybe Rick needs to take a writing class.
I can't believe all the people on commenting on how lucky Greg got to win it all. Between RPG and 2+2 you think word would be out on Greg. /images/graemlins/grin.gif I guess that's why the games are good.

The fact that people think Greg sucks is a good sign. It shows that even with all the poker on TV nowadays, the masses still know nothing about poker.

This statement is only correct in hindsight. Poker is not about hindsight, it is about future expectation. I wish everyone took this approach near the bubble. It would make high finishes easier for me.

I think cooling into the money would be correct there personally. Making a move with A8s might marginally help your final table probability and even more marginally help your win rate(perhaps .5% or something) but making it to the money will allow you too enter another tourney(~.3% win rate??) get you more experience...and just more fun.

Raymer, who, like all championship poker players, is extremely competitive (despite his genial manner), responded by e-mailing Reilly a challenge to play him in a racquetball match.

I've seen a number of overweight racquetball players who could really play. They were surprisingly quick, hit the ball hard, and had very reliable killshots. I doubt Greg could challenge say, Cliff Swain, but Reilly was probably smart not to play. Chicksh*t, but smart.

The really big money is in the top few spots, especially 1st. So it is still important to pick up chips when you get close to the money.

I figured it was time for me to chime in with the standard-
Rick Reilly is a douchebag.
