quickest exit ever..........
I've really been trying to work on my two table SnG at P* lately and have had good success over the last couple of months. I usually bide my time in the early rounds and wait for premium hands to jump into the pot, letting the fast action players battle it out. This as far as I can remember is the quickest I've ever been torched. Take a look and give me your opinion on how I screwwed it up and what you would have done differently.
I know it's early but the two other players involved have been playing weak Aces and one in particular has showed down K/7 offsuit and K/6 off. *********** # 1 ************** PokerStars Game #349977296: Tournament #1255138, Hold'em No Limit - Level I (10/20) - 2004/03/23 - 14:38:13 (ET) Table '1255138 1' Seat #8 is the button Seat 1: player A (1300 in chips) Seat 2: Husker66 (1260 in chips) Seat 5: XXXXXXX (1470 in chips) is sitting out Seat 6: XXXXXXX (4880 in chips) Seat 7: XXXXXXX (1760 in chips) Seat 8: Player B (1370 in chips) Seat 9: XXXXXXX (1460 in chips) XXXXXXXX: posts small blind 10 Player A: posts big blind 20 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Husker66 [Ks Ad] Husker66: raises 60 to 80 XXXXX: folds XXXXX: folds XXXXX: folds Player B: calls 80 XXXXX: folds Player A: calls 60 *** FLOP *** [Kh Ac 8s] Player A: checks Husker66: checks Player B: bets 20 Player A: calls 20 Husker66: calls 20 *** TURN *** [Kh Ac 8s] [3h] Player A: bets 200 Husker66: calls 200 Player B: raises 280 to 480 Player A: raises 280 to 760 Husker66: raises 280 to 1040 Player B: raises 230 to 1270 and is all-in Player A: calls 440 and is all-in Husker66: calls 120 and is all-in *** RIVER *** [Kh Ac 8s 3h][b] [4h]{/b} *** SHOW DOWN *** Player A: shows [3d Kd] (two pair, Kings and Threes) Player B: shows [Ah 8h] (a flush, Ace high) Player B collected 80 from side pot Husker66: shows [Ks Ad] (two pair, Aces and Kings) Player B collected 3790 from main pot *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 3870 Main pot 3790. Re: quickest exit ever..........
Now that is rough!
Question is how can you get away from Top two pair. PF I think 80 is a good bet Flop I don't like the check call. I think I either check raise the pot or bet the pot outright. Turn I think I push-in rather than just calling then getting into a reraise, reraise, reraise all in, call battle. All that being said I don't think you will be able to get away from that hand and neither will the guy with two pair and a nut flush draw. The only way to not get all in would've been to just call it on the turn then fold it when the heart hits on the river. I think that would not have been correct turn play though. For me I am at least raising the pot on the Flop and pushing on the turn. Either way you still endup losing your stack with the second best hand. Hotrod |

Re: quickest exit ever..........
Husker. I don't think it was misplayed on ANY street. I might have pushed after the flop but that would be the only change I can think of. I really don't think that you would have gotten the A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] off his hand in any event but the flop would have been your best shot. You just got caught playing a very strong hand against what ended up being a better one.
