$11 Top set w/1-suit flop
First hand at PokerRoom $11. Top set, flush board 4 players. Is push appropriate here?
Seat 1:CO-1 ($1,500 in chips) Seat 2:CO ($1,500 in chips) Seat 3:Button ($1,500 in chips) Seat 4:SB ($1,500 in chips) Seat 5:BB ($1,500 in chips) Seat 6:UTG ($1,500 in chips) Seat 7:UTG+1 ($1,500 in chips) Seat 8:MP ($1,500 in chips) Seat 9:Hero ($1,500 in chips) Seat 10:MP3 ($1,500 in chips) ANTES/BLINDS SB posts blind ($10), BB posts blind ($20). Hero Dealt [J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img],J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] PRE-FLOP UTG calls $20, UTG+1 folds, MP calls $20, Hero bets $100, MP3 folds, CO-1 calls $100, CO folds, Button calls $100, SB folds, BB folds, UTG calls $80, MP folds. pot = 450 4 players FLOP [3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img],7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img],J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ] UTG checks, Hero bets $1,400 and is all-in My thinking is I'd like the pot now. I have top set. Might get a call by a 2pr or a flush draw. Hate to think a flush is already there, but calling that preflop raise? I hope not. So, is this okay? If someone showed me his flush, how would it change the 'correct' play (since I should have 10 outs to boat). This or similar has happened enough recently I'd appreciate the help. |

Re: $11 Top set w/1-suit flop
no way, just bet 400, get it in on any non-diamond turn. if someone calls and the turn is a diamond, depends on how many called/who called, most likely try to see the river for cheap
but pushing here is playing scared ... |
